What is a Blown-Air Heater (Truma / Webasto / Eberspächer)?
Warms the whole van by blowing heated air through ducting to every room.

In plain English
Rather than a single radiator, most motorhomes use a combustion heater that warms air and pushes it through ducts to outlets around the van — living area, bathroom, sometimes under the bed too.
How it works
Gas (or diesel, on some Webasto/Eberspächer units) is burned in a sealed combustion chamber, heating a chamber of air that a fan then distributes through the ducting. The exhaust vents outside through a dedicated flue, kept completely separate from the air you breathe.
Signs of trouble
- ⚠Fails to ignite — often the first thing to check is the gas supply or the battery voltage powering the ignition
- ⚠Blows cold air only — could be a tripped thermal cutout or blocked exhaust flue
- ⚠Unusual smell or soot near the exhaust vent — stop using it and get it inspected

£600 – £1,800 fitted for a full replacement; annual servicing is far cheaper and catches most issues early.
