What is a Gas / LPG Leak Detector?
Sniffs out LPG before it becomes a real problem.

In plain English
A low-mounted sensor (gas is heavier than air, so it sinks) constantly checks for LPG in the cabin air and sounds a loud alarm the moment it detects a leak — giving you time to act before it's dangerous.
How it works
An electrochemical or catalytic sensor reacts to gas molecules in the air and triggers an alarm circuit once levels cross a safety threshold.
Signs of trouble
- ⚠Alarm sounding — ventilate immediately, turn off the gas at the cylinder, and don't use any switches or naked flames
- ⚠Sensor unit past its stated lifespan (often 5 years) — replace proactively, don't wait for a fault
- ⚠Frequent false alarms — usually a sign the sensor itself needs replacing
