What is a Skylight?
A fixed or opening window in the roof that lets light flood into the van.

In plain English
Often found over the washroom or the overcab bed area, a skylight brings in natural light without taking up wall space — some open for ventilation, others are fixed.
How it works
A double-skinned acrylic or polycarbonate dome or flat pane sits in a sealed frame, bonded and sealed to the roof to keep water out while flexing slightly with the vehicle body.
Signs of trouble
- ⚠Discolouration or a 'milky' look to the acrylic — usually UV ageing, not a leak
- ⚠Water ingress at the frame edge — check and renew the sealant
- ⚠Condensation trapped between double-skin panes on opening types — a seal has failed

£150 – £450 fitted for a replacement unit.
