What are Swivel Cab Seats?
Turns the driver and passenger seats around to face into the living area when parked.
Simplified animation — not to scale.
In plain English
A swivel base under each cab seat lets you rotate the whole seat 180 degrees once parked, instantly turning two driving seats into extra lounge seating.
How it works
A geared or cam-locked turntable sits between the seat and the floor rail, locking securely in both the forward-facing (driving) and rearward-facing (parked) positions.
Signs of trouble
- ⚠Seat won't lock securely in the driving position — treat as a safety issue and get it checked before driving
- ⚠Stiff or grinding rotation — usually just needs cleaning and light lubrication
- ⚠Excess play or movement in the locked position
Rough UK cost
£150 – £450 fitted per seat, including the swivel base.
Ballpark only — depends on your van, converter and local labour rates.
